Welcome to Cape Cod Travel Tips!

Hello! Thank you for choosing to plan your next trip to Cape Cod with me and Cape Cod Travel Tips.

Cape Cod has a reputation for being a playground for the rich and famous, which isn’t false, but it’s also not the whole truth either. Of course, you can come here to do all the typical Cape Cod things.

Things like sunbathing and swimming in the ocean anywhere along our 560 miles of coastline. You can relax and read a book in the sunshine, bury your feet in the warm sand, and spend quality time with your friends and loved ones around a beach bonfire. Feast on seafood until you burst!

However, there is a lot more to this sandbar than you may think.

Don’t forget that there’s a history that dates back to the very beginnings of our country, and more importantly, centuries before the Pilgrims ever set foot here. We have a robust artist, writer, and creator community. There are important global conservation and environmental research efforts happening right from this tiny place. And more!

I think it’s a pretty multifaceted and special vacation destination, and I’m so proud to call this place home.

What to Expect From Cape Cod Travel Tips

As I mentioned, I will share everything I know from decades of living and exploring Cape Cod. I’ll share the best things to do, places to eat, and where to stay across all 15 towns. Plus, what I know about Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and the Elizabeth Islands. You’ll find budget tips, travel hacks, and insider information that only locals would know. Just some – I don’t want to give it all away. *wink*

Plus, you’ll not only get my perspective but my Goddaughter’s as well. For the past few years, she and I have spent every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day exploring the Cape’s festivals and fairs, playgrounds, libraries, kid-approved restaurants, and more! She calls our days exploring together Day Dates. I call them Research Days.

So, what would you like to know about visiting Cape Cod? I’ll do my best to cover everything. Let me know in the comments below.

About Your Cape Cod Guide

So, who am I, and why did I decide to start this blog about Cape Cod?

My name is Brittany. I was born here on the Cape (notice I didn’t write in the Cape – I share why in this Guide to Cape Cod) and have lived here for the majority of my life. I can’t imagine what it would be like to grow up anywhere else. There really is no other place like it in the world and I want to share everything I know.

I’ve lived in 6 of the 15 towns that make up Cape Cod. I know all the dives and local haunts, the backroads and secret parking lots, the activities, trails, museums, and beaches that are worth it (hint: they are all worth it). Plus, ways to save money like a champ.

I’m thrilled that so many people choose Cape Cod as their summer vacation destination. Tourism is a huge money-making industry for our local economy, and many year-round residents (including myself) rely on it. Many locals use the money they make during the summer months to get them through long, quiet winters.

As a native, I will always wonder what it’s like to go on a Cape Cod vacation. You all are so lucky!
